Then, for 3 days in Buenos Aires, we'll work with a local community of kids and our nonprofit partner, Voluntario Global

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor....Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

expedition route & itinerary

The Patagonia adventure philanthropy expedition begins in El Calafate where we'll meet you at the airport for personal pickup. We'll start early the next on a day-long trek on the magnificent Perito Moreno glacier, one of the few glaciers that's still growing. On the second full day in Patagonia, we'll ride 3 hours north to enjoy the rugged charm of El Chalten, our launchpad for 3 full days of adventure, including hiking and kayaking.

In the evenings, we'll enjoy Patagonia's remarkable wine selection, eat heartily of the Argentine cuisine, and relax by firelight.

We'll then fly three hours north to vibrant capital, Buenos Aires, the city in which we'll complete our 3-day volunteer project. Evenings will be spent exploring the food, nightlife and inspired way of life that has made the city famous.

You need not be a Master of the Universe athlete to enjoy this adventure! Just be in proper shape for a week of activity at your own pace.

your volunteer project

Following our Patagonia adventure, we'll spend 3 days in Buenos Aires working in cooperation with Voluntario Global. We'll be working side-by-side with the community and the remarkable Valeria, Voluntario Global's director, to renovate a local primary school for 3-5 year old children and build them a community garden.

Adventurers Who Travel Different, Talk About It:

What you are doing has had a huge affect on all of us, internally. Externally, there is a playground where there was none and a bit more hope than there was just a week ago. There are ties forged by the experience that go both ways, and cross oceans, that will never be undone. It's a beautiful thing.
~ John, architect

Thank you for an incredible trip. I was surprised to return from travel to a new land feeling rejuvenated by and indebted to a group of people I traveled with. We Roadmonkeys dug our toes into foreign soil and I got the feeling that, in a little over a week, we were let in on some of the secrets Peru keeps from travelers of convenience.
~ McKenna, hedge fund administrator

I was hoping for a trip through which I would learn about and participate in another culture and be challenged mentally, emotionally and physically in a relatively safe format. The Roadmonkey trip fulfilled and, then, wildly exceeded all my expectations.
